[Motorola] Maxar mobiles (x2) as a repeater ?

A friend and I have built 2 repeaters from (4) Maxar 80s.  They worked
surprisingly well.
Used no shielding and nothing special mechanically and we were amazed how
well it worked.
These were both used in LOW-RF environments (at homes) with full sized
duplexers (not mobile).
Hardest part was finding a good place to pull COR from.  Which,
unfortunately, I don't have information on any longer.
I would not  suggest such an operation in a site with a lot of other RF
nearby.
These were UHF 'repeaters.'

All mounted on a board on a wall in the garage, we dubbed them "Wallars" and
they ran quite flawlessly for years.

But as Glen said, it's all a lot of work and probably not for the beginner
or those without some test gear.
