[Motorola] Syntor X 9000 RSS changes

Speaking of hex editing, has anyone done this on the RSS files for the
Syntor X 9000 for the low band and high band radios to allow amateur band
coverage ?  I understand there was a ham version of the RSS which is
apparently no longer available.

As far as I know (because I haven't tried it yet) the Ver 06 of  RSS for
Syntor X 9000
doesn't allow entry of ham frequencies.  I realize the VHF Range 2 Syntor X
9000 needs some VCO and receiver front end retuning to properly operate on 2
meters, with the UHF version being a somewhat bigger project as well.

Are there any keyboard "tricks" to force entry of a ham frequency, or is it
necessary to go in and edit the files ?  And if it is necessary to edit the
files,
does anyone know which lines and which entries refer to the band limits ?
