I have been collecting parts to keep my MX360 going at hamfests. I recently
found some radios that are SP. Can anyone help with their ID?
The model number is H33AXU3120B and the serial number ends in SP1.
The radio had two simplex channels installed, but the channel selector has
7 channels that can be selected and three other positions marked as "O",
"N" and an unlocked lock. There is a two position switch on the top marked
"ICH2". The "I" is really an "I" and not a "1".
The radio has encryption and the agency that owned it had a special plate
made that screwed into the headphone jack that prevented to encryption
switch from being placed in the "clear" position.
The radio has a board that I have not seen before in it. The board is
marked PLD6220A and has a board number of 84D07158L01. This board contains
a MK5089 chip, which I think is a DTMF encoder. The rotary frequency
selector is possibly connected to this board to generate different
signaling tones.
The encryption module is really three boards plus a CVSD CONVTR and SPLT
FILT module under a shield. The shield is marked PLN6?23A, where the ?
represents a number that is not clear. It could be a 3, 5 or 7.
I have identified the agency that owned the radios from the frequencies
that were installed but would rather not disclose this in a public forum.
Any ideas??
Thanks
