Lucky:

Here's the 'official' word on Moto's Radio Service Software (RSS).
The RSS is Motorola proprietary. Moto gets very nasty about
unauthorized copies of their RSS. RSS is also expensive...several
hundred dollars to buy it from them. Also, there are several versions
of the RSS. Some will go into the ham bands and others won't.

If you don't plan to reprogram the radio often, you'd probably save
money by taking it/them to a Moto shop with the proper RSS to
meet your needs.

Visit www.batlabs.com/ where you'll find loads of info.
Also visit www.piexx.com/ and talk with Chris Sieg. He makes
a kit and software that allows you to use Windows to program
many channels into a Syntor. I'm not sure if he has one yet for
6 meters, but it's well worth the visit. His kit costs less than
official RSS and is much more user friendly.

Also, now that you've posted on this list, someone may offer you the RSS.

Good luck.
