[Motorola] RSS and serial data

I just picked up a few P100's, and have the RSS for it.  

Has anyone figured out the format of the data stream going to the radio?  I 
would like to program the radio without booting to dos everytime.  It should 
not be all that hard to make up a little program that will do this from X.
