I built a UHF rptr using 2 Mitreks. One normally does the XMT function
and 1 does the RCV function. Works fine that sway. Both radios have
the rptr's XMT & RCV frequencies so, if one fails, they can be swapped
simply by swapping coax connections and controller connections and
the rptr's back n the air in a coupe of minutes. The rptr's been on
the air for 9 years without a single hiccup.
Using a single Mitrek as a rptr doesn't work well, though.
