Kind of complicated to do but its possible with **some work**. I run
four Motorola Mitreks in my Jeep Wrangler in my Ham activities with
sys 90 heads and its a pain with all the cabling. What I am working
on is a "custom" control box and console so I can switch between
radios but still have functionality to receive each receiver signal
and use just one DTMF type microphone instead of four mics!
Each Mitrek as you know is a four channel radio. I only use one
channel per radio for my day to day activities [ UHF 440 [my
repeater], the local 6-meter mountaintop repeater, 29.6 simplex
[10-meters] and one VHF [2-meter] mountaintop repeater].
All you would need to switch are the PTT control line and mic audio
to each radio. The external speakers would always be connected with
at least separate volume and squelch controls. I would in my project
install a small miniature pcb in each Mitrek with those controls and
"preset" them so I would never have to adjust remotely.
Of course the antennas would be separate as always and attached to
their respective radio.
Good Luck!

PS: Hmmmmmmm...now how do I remote a Maxtrac 900 mhz mobile radio in
my Jeep without spending $130 bucks for a kit?
