.. It has to with the computer's speed. I was told once that you should fish
out something equivalent to a '386' about 33-50 MHz clock to be sure. Never
tried it on newer windows, but I suspect that from w-98 and later they don't
have dos included, but some sort of DOS emulator, abig unknown.

I've had some luck running DOS-based RSS under Win-98.
The earlier (DOS) RSS won't run in versions later than 98 because 98 was the
last with a DOS emulation... so I'm told.

Certain computers, some Compaq models, may have problems running Win-based
RSS.  I got a different Compaq model (also running Win98) and no problems
running DOS RSS or Win based.

Batwing's attitude was basically "buy the computer
to suit our software"  (Not the other way around)

Hang on to those old PCs and OS!
