[Motorola] Windows software for Motorola radios?

I hope you do know that running des, dvp or dvi or for that matter any type
of cipher encryption on the ham bands is illegal don't you ? The FCC has
addressed this many times and a quick response to confirm this would be to
our good FCC/Ham friend Riley Hollingsworth, he has confirmed this in
several e-mail responses to other hams who have enquired about this. I've
been there with the FCC asking about this and with e-mails to the ARRL with
always a no answer.
You can however run digital such as VSELP or IMBE as used in the Astro
radios as long as it is a public domain protocal.
The windows S/W that moto makes available at this time is only for the Astro
series radios and the Pro series radios. And starting in August the windows
versions will be the only ones supported for these radio lines, the question
if moto will make windows for the other versions is still unknown at this
time.
