[Motorola] any tricks for programming 2-meter freqs into HT-1000?

Hi everyone. I am just wondering if there are any tricks when programming
in 2-meter frequencies and offsets using the latest RSS in Windows, and
the older DOS version for the HT-1000? I am going to try to get an HT-1000
programmed to do 2-meters to test before I take it to Dayton, and the
person who I am thinking of taking it to is not a ham, and I'm just
wondering if he might run into problems?  Any help would be appreciated,
