[Morrow] Screen Modulate a Morrow?

Since I seem unable to locate the proper modulation transformer for my
Morrow MB-560 I am looking into a suggested screen mod technique
(suggested by a Ham at a recent Fest in casual conversation).
It has been suggested that if done properly the modulation level and
quality will be equivalent to plate mod. (The MB-560 design uses a pair
of 6AV6's to modulate a single 6146.)
The input side of a simple audio output transformer (several thousand
ohms primary, 8 ohms nominal secondary) is placed between the B+ line
and the plate of one of the two mod tubes (the second mod tube is
disconnected from the circuit).
The mod tube plate line goes through a .1uF cap, is bypassed to ground
with a .01uF cap, and feeds a resistive divider (one 50k 2w resistor to
ground, the other to about 300v -- the resistor values will require some
tweaking until the desired result is achieved) prior to contact with the
screen of the 6146.
The output side of the audio transformer is lightly loaded with a 10 ohm
resistor.
The plate of the 6146 if upped to 800v.
Any thoughts from the gathered Elmers herein, please? Adjustments to
the circuit design? What test gear will I need? Any potential
likelihood of collateral damage to other parts of the rig?
Thanks! & 73, doc kd4e
