_WWW.QSRADIO.COM_ (http://www.QSRADIO.COM) also has some Caig products,
but not sure about this one. He has a store and manufacturing in Conn. and
travels extensively for eastern hamfests as well as mail/web order. He's
also heavy into power poles and products of his own design incorporating them.
A good guy with lots of innovative products.

Hey!
I went back and looked at this webpage again: http://store.caig.com/
There is a note there that one of the featured products replaces the
ProGold!
It says:
"Featuring Environmentally Safe Contact Cleaners / Connector Enhancing
Treatments: DeoxIT® D-Series, DeoxIT® Gold G-Series (formerly ProGold),
DeoxIT® Shield S-Series (formerly PreservIT), DeoxIT® Fader F-Series
(formerly CaiLube MCL) and the NEW, HAND-E-GLOVE®"
See especially this: "DeoxIT® Gold G-Series (formerly ProGold)"
And, they say it is now stocked at Radio Shack!
Try it, you'll like it....

** This email thread reminds me of a product a mech engr gave me years
ago. I
** just looked it up on the web. Cannot find the exact product but the
mfr is
** CAIG, and theold product was called ProGold. I have a tiny (7.4mL)
sample
** bottle of it. I used it for the cable connection of my IC-706's remote
** head that was continually intermittent. Never failed again! Use it in
the
** same place on my newer 706 MKII-G and it has never failed...well ove
r10
** years between the two units.
** --I have also used it for ther similar contact issues and never had a
** wherever I have used it. MAGIC stuff, I guess.
** --I suppose the newer products might work as well.
** --I'm 73 so my little bottle will probably outlast me
** --I dab it on sparingly, wait a few seconds and dab the liquid off (I
do
** not rub it off) w/ a clean cloth.
