   I teach a series of lectures called:   "How antennas work."
I teach anything conductive can radiate some and it is harder to make it 
stop radiating that to make it radiate.

   I have a DX friend that has his DXCC 100% from using an "Outbacker" 
on a tiny ground mounted tripod with no radials (with 100 Watts) with 
100' of RG-58 that he ran out between the trees in the yard of his first 
floor apartment after dark.  So they must leak some.
