[Mobile-Portable] Hustler Antenna Coil Heat Sleeve ReplacementOptions?

I have had good luck removing the factory shrink tubing and just covering
the coil with Scotch 88 tape.  The 88 is much superior to any other tape I
have found and seems to last for a number of years before I replace it, just
to do so.  

Inclement weather doesn't seem to bother the coil SWR and it runs cool
enough for me to run 500 watts into it (the large coil), without noticeable
heat build up.
