If I'm not mistaken, that coil should work with a 3-foot mast and a 5-foot whip.

I could become quite interested. The same idea might work with it as
well. Even if it doesn't, I still need an antenna. Please let me
know what you'd like for it ... keeping in mind that I'm living on a
VA disability pension which isn't all that princely.
