Thanks for your response - a lot of very useful info. The reason I bought the caravan was the space between the front seats! Right after I saw that space, I saw a complete HF/VHF mobile station sitting in it! I've been running a TS-50 w/ its companion tuner in an Explorer for over 10 years, but the Explorer is slowly dying (320K miles), so its time to move the rig to the new (to me)caravan.

Now I have to check out those tailights....
