I have a non-airbag vehicle for mobile so I had not yet thought of the
problem of having an air bag hit the swing-arm...that could be very
unhealthy. 

Too, I suppose the front passenger should use the swing-arm device when
the car is in motion only if driving/road-safety conditions are supurb.

...so, a removable swing-arm would be a key consideration.

It sounds like you are in to a great project. Post some photos somewhere
when you have time to do so.
