[Mobile-Portable] Screwdriver Antenna

Check your grounds.  I have a similar experience with a screwdriver on a HS 
trailer hitch mount.  I drilled and tapped the mount and then ran a ground 
strap from the base of the antenna  back to the frame.  That got rid of the 
problem
