I know this will sound like a broken record, but make certain your grounds
at the antenna are in good order. I had a problem with a 94 Chevy Blazer.
 The antenna was mounted on the spare tire carrier so I could swing it out
of the way of the tailgate. I had a ground strap from the antenna mount
directly to the frame. But only AFTER I installed ground jumpers across
the spare tire carrier hinges did the fuel pump noise go away! Fact is
stranger than fiction!

Subject: 	[Mobile-Portable] Fuel pump noise.

Hello mobileers;

I hear noise anytime the (electric) fuel pump is running on my '90 Nissan
pickup.

1.) Anyone here have experience in clearing up the noise from one these?
 Please tell me what you heard, and then what you did to clear it up. BTW,
it is mounted INSIDE the fuel tank.

2.) Fuel pump 165,000 miles . Any idea how frequently they should be
replaced.

thanks,
Kelly
