[Mobile-Portable] 10 meters

There are times where the coax needs to be either trimmed or lengthened. Try
adding 10 or so feet of coax using a barrel connector and the proper PL 259
connectors.

A properly grounded mobile installation should include a strap that goes to
the chasis next to the rig. A good place for this is under the seat. Try
using the braid from the larger style coax cables, stripped back of course.

Another item to consider, is the efficiency of the coil on the antenna.
Although trimming the whip to compensate for a coil that is out of resonance might
be a solution, it doesnt always work.

Some of the best antennas I have worked with for 10 meters have been the
Wilson 1000 CB antenna, cut to freq. The SWR was easily adjusted.

There might be a few more suggestions, but this may do it for you.. I will
read your upcoming posts and see how your doing with the suggestions I gave.

Best Regards K2YGM
