>>How easy is it to remove a big scredriver via quick disconnets and hang it up
on a couple of hooks in the garage when not in use?

Hi John...

Very easy to do with one of Charlie Gyenes' " Giant Quick Disconnects". Have a
look at: www.hiqantennas.com . I have the 4/80MT on my pickup, and this thing
is big! A pal and I timed removal, and the antenna was off and stowed in the
truck cab in under 30 seconds. I previously used the Hustler HD quick
disconnects for the upper whip, but thought Charlies " Whip Quick Disconnect"
was much more sturdy since I'm using one of Hustler's non-folding masts for my
upper whip. Both connectors are a bit pricey, but extremely well made.

Now the WAF...Mebbe this will work for you. I always erect antennas in the dark
or bad wx for 2 reasons. 1- They always seem to work better . 2- When the
XYL finally notices the "new thing", I can say in truthfullness, " That's been
up there for a while". Hamming for 40 years, and using that line for 30 of them
!!

Plenty of pics of my mobile installation if you're interested.
