[Mobile-Portable] Inverter power draw when "off"

I noted that my Radio Schlock 22-132a inverter draws 200 ma even when
"OFF."
Seems RS chose to switch the 110 VAC side rather than the DC input side.
Modified the unit using the same switch to cut DC when "OFF." This ment
that
the neon light in the switch had to be disconnected and a LED inserted
across the
switched DC with a suitable resistor.
I wonder how many other inverters use the same technique.
