COOL!  Might be a plate-supply inductor off a longwave transmitter, where high-amps
coil inductors would be too massive?
Or, a toroidal choke or transformer, where someone cut off the windings.   Need
a few-GHz vna, to see how inductive or lossy it is in the microwaves.

It was so long ago, like in the late 1970s, that i don’t remember what piece i took this out of. It is definitely nonmagnetic,
is ferrite. The resonant freq with the test coil i put on it was somewhere like 30 MHz. I was and am actually surprised it
worked at this high a freq. But i seem to think it came out of some high VHF equipment, so that makes sense. It never had
any coil windings on it ! I would have saved those. I took this out of some kind of holder, so there were darn few clues what
it once was.
At the time i worked for “Mac” McPherson of Radar Electric in his surplus store division. One foray we made was to West
Seattle to pick up some Litz wire from someone who had a pallet stacked about 2 foot high with varieties of Litz wire.
I still have some spools i got for myself, never have used a foot of it in about 50 years. Maybe i should make other plans for
it ? At the time i thought 20 wire Litz was a big deal. Now look at the Chinese monster Litz offered on Ebay, special item
for crystal radio experimenters, i gather.
