What you are looking for may be be found here:https://web.archive.org/web/20210815154500/http://www.alternatewars.com/SAC/SAC.htm

This is my go-to place for cold war aircraft information.  From about 1950 and later, aircraft electronics is listed, earlier aircraft not so much detail.  For the SBD, the only electronics mentioned is ASB radar and IFF, no mention of communications radios.  This seems to hold for both Navy and AAF WW2 aircraft but I haven't checked all listings.

The original site was lost during an upgrade but the Wayback machine archived the old site.  Later when the site was relaunched, some of the original info was lost but some new information was added.  It is a mixed bag.  See: https://www.generalstaff.org/CDA/Aircraft.htm

This list might help with what the Navy installed in aircraft.https://www.rkk-museum.ru/documents/archives/images/52c-45-01.pdfNavy equipment starts on pdf page 39 through 140

There is also this, Mike has more on his site then just AAF radio:https://aafradio.org/docs/Navy-radio-gear-1943.pdf
Regards,
Jim

My first focus is the Douglas SBD Dauntless. But would like to discover how to research any airplane's radio setups (and I know they probably changed over time).

Subject: [Milsurplus] Question about radios on WWII airplanes

Is there resource(s) that would specify what radio equipments were installed
on which WWII airplanes?

Thanks!
