Mike,
Ya got THAT right; these muthas are HEAVY!!!
I have an RBB and RBC here, and recently picked up (no pun intended) a slightly modified
RBA.
For this trio a new bench will have to be built, with 4" x 4" legs, and 2" x 4" frame for the top.
IMHO the top can only be 1/2" or 3/4" plywood. Want a riser on the projected bench to store
things like the bug, keyer, active audio filter, logbooks and scratchpads, etc.
One thing I find irritating about the receivers... the power supplies.
I have two supplies here, but according to the manuals the current capability is sufficient to
power ONE receiver, and under emergency conditions a second can be added temporarily.
I'm looking at a single supply that's capable of carrying the current load of all three at once.
The receivers are on the list of projects, but I've played with the RBC a good deal. Superb
CW receiver, and more than capable of decent SSB reception. VERY frequency stable, and
a decent front end noise figure.

Ken -
Even if I had the bench space I could not lift those up any more, HI. I need
to have a hamfest at my house. 73 - Mike

Many years ago, I had a pair of those with power supply which I got from
MARS.
I was extremely impressed by both receivers, but especially by the RBB.
I used it for several years, mainly for CW net traffic handling.
My transmitter that time was either a brand-new T-350-XM or a somewhat
modified BC-610 being driven by my upgraded DX-35/VF-1 combo.
I operated full break-in using separate receiving and transmitting antennas.
Among other things, the limiter in the RBB was superb: even at 1 kW input to
the transmitter, in net operations, my own signal in the receiver was never
any louder than the signal of the station I was listening to.
A fellow ham visited my shack one day while I was operating and was amazed.
I wish I had the bench space here to set up a pair of those again.
