All,

WOW, what a morning!!!!! The swap meet at the Asheville NC Radio Museum and its wonderful covered parking deck was FABULOUS! Attendance and sales were excellent and everyone I spoke with was happily going home with something “new” to play with this fall and winter! LOTS of familiar faces attending!!!!!!!

The amount of gear present IMHO was as good or even better than many smaller hamfests I’ve been to lately, including many free items in the fleamarket!!!!!

The biggest radio to change hands was a very nice BC-610E with speech amp and caster base… it took more than a handful of old guys to slide it from one SUV to another!!!!

There was also a complete working TCS system with AC PS and cables and mic etc etc that I’m not sure sold.

The highlight of this event was the "Grand “Re-Opening” of the Asheville Radio Museum now in much larger space!!!!! Tons of great equipment beautifully on display, an “On the Air” station area, and also a repair/restoration workshop behind glass right inside the Museum!!!! And the free giveaway T-shirts are really sharp and destined to be real collectors items!!!

There was also an adjoining room full of radios for sale (overflow Museum inventory) all at great prices!

MANY THANKS to Curator Stuart Smolkin and President Ron Beaver and all the other Museum members for hosting a terrific event today!

Everyone is looking forward to doing it again “soon”, it's a terrific location!!!!!
