Probably the US gave second line or surplus equipnent to the army of France, including uniforms. Like my father's AA unit, whose heavy guns were given to France in 1944. The Axis certainly had enough of common com equipment; the only items that would really light their filaments would be finding more or less radar equipment.
The SCR-195 did work, but it wasn't as rugged as the SCR-300, which you could actually drag behind you on the ground, if you had to. The stability, yes  not good, but the superregen receiver was not real sharp tuning either. Remember those old CBs with superregen recs were happy to receive maybe 5 channels on either side of yours ?
In a trip to France in the early 1970s i noticed in radio magazines a lot of ads for surplus WW2 equipment; maybe their military was getting rid of all that.
