Went to the MAARC Antique Radio tailgate and auction in Davidsonville MD yesterday. Did try to sell a couple things but only came away with $10 did pick up a couple 51S1 receivers that I am going to look over along with an HRO-500 to check out, the owner wants like $400 or so for it, I don't want it but told the owner I would clean it up and see if it works. Did not see a lot of military stuff but a lot of other stuff. Apparently, the market for big box wooden radios is not doing well, lots of restored $100 sets. It's definitely a byers market on that stuff. Did see junk like BC-221 frequency meters and the like and know of some of the items that sold at the auction like a Racal RA-17 for $195 along with a Collins 51Q-1 receiver that s apparently a civilian version of the TCS receiver that went for $110 What I think was most interesting was a couple Heathkit Seneca transmitters that were there for free but no one took them, think the owner may have had to carry them back or disposed of them there, don't know. I thought about taking them just to remove the power transformers and chokes in the power supplies but already had a full load of junk to go back to my place.
