[Milsurplus] Why 50 ohm Coax?

I recall from Electromagnetic Theory class that 75 ohms was lowest loss,
and 50 (52?) ohms was maximum power handling.

Wouldn't be able to do those derivations anymore, but if you want to nerd
out on it, look at J.D. Kraus Electromagnetics or maybe Antennas.
