This morning, I received a "PayPal" invoice, dated February 2nd 2024,
for a fake company name, created around 1985, used in another state,
which didn't have an email address associated with it until the
mid-90's, to an email address mothballed nearly 25 years ago, for
delivery of "Bitcash Credit", at $822.65", and I have only 24 hours
(looks like they missed their mark) to cancel.

The company name was multiple words, for example, "Internal Revenue
Service", and the first word was used in the salutation, "Dear
Internal", as if they thought that would look super legit! No matter
how many times I call the number on the invoice, the dirtbags just won't
answer. A rather mediocre scam...

Unfortunately, it just goes to show how much crazy info is gathered, for
how many years, and how much later it may be used. It's due to stuff
like this, that you may still receive seemingly legitimate email from
your pal that passed away, and, even decades from now.
