Looked for mil radio & mil surplus radio on Facebook. None of them let one see what sort of chatter they have, which is relevant to me, without first becoming a member. That didn't encourage me to look deeper.

Thanks for your post, Dave. And i have filed away your info on regulating the low B voltage. I am wondering now if that approach might also
clean up the CONAR 400 transmitter, and leave the high B+ from a voltage doubler, as-is. It wouldn’t be too hard to regulate just the tube
screengrid.
I was curious, so looked up a VK3ASE Youtube video on the AR-8. Looks like a real fun pair to operate. That also reminded me, i have an
RCAF AT-1 AR-2 pair i really should decide about. I have also an ATR-11 and most of the manual, which was a great hassle to after years
to find. I have enough fascinating projects that will last me, without these, believe me. Interests and projects change as you focus. I still sort
of regret giving up my AT-12, which was a smaller thing sort of comparable to the GO-9 HF section in role.
I also sometimes fear to think, who’s going to carry this forward? But probably all history collectibles interest groups are having the same
concerns. Like, all the estate clearances i have been to already this year.
You know, i hated to join Facebook, and i still am not happy with a great deal of it, but at least they have interest groups for mil radios, which
i don’t know, may even be more popular than these email groups, and they may be carrying it forward, getting the topic before people’s eyes.
I am glad they exist to put out the “QST all stations”.
