The Philmore NT-200 was MOPA ?!
Wow. The receiver was only a one tube 6SN7, was it not ?

The Philmore NT-200 is a MOPA with 6V6 oscillator and 6L6 amplifier. ? 
It keys nicely - you can get the entire pictorial manual from BAMA.

Did they make another ?

Hue just outta curiosity, what was the model number on the Philmore receiver? 

Here's a link to a Philmore catalog, not sure of the date though. Sure looks 50s to me!

Didn't see any receivers using just a 6SN7. 

The NT200 transmitter is on page 10.

The catalog sure looks like it was a parts goldmine!

There was a Japanese WWII portable, i think it's in the TM 11-227-E, that's called the "TM Handy", that has like 3 or 4 simple tubes,
and for transmit, elaborate switching switches a tube or tubes between the receiver and VFO transmitter. Now, wouldn't that thing sound
just great on 40 or 30M ? Of course, "The bands were emptier then", not really true.
