I have a CD of Nat'l Geos i think up to the late 1970s, but i have never once yet played it and i'm not sure on the dates. There is a newer edition, i think, but 
i don't know the date either. I mainly wanted the WW2 years, which have some fine stories and illustrations, and i tend to really like stories about pre-China
Tibet. I took a year of Tibetan language (  Lhasa dialect ) at the U.W. and no, it was not a good use of my time. I remember all of two words, the words for 
"Where are you going?" and "Bottoms up!" ( as in, a drinking toast. )
