Dave and all..
That pic you posted of the Navy gray RAS I own now after buying it at a
CHRS sale here. They got it at a defunct Mare Island Museum and in the
process of moving it dropped it in such a way to wreck the PW dial and bend
the tuning shaft. Replaced both dial and gear box. As you can see it's
missing the ps data tag..still.
It's a darker gray/blue I think than yours. Though I think yours has had a
rattle can repaint as if you look on the pic, I think of the spkr panel,
you can see the back a forth spray pattern of a spray can paint job...I've
suffered the same here
I've ve been working on a repaint of a gray TCS 5 rcvr cabinet to match
the front panel which is like the gray on my RAS. No luck at all here in
trying to match that gray. Went through 5 different shades of spray cans
of gray before I found something barely close to match it to the front
panel.
Hope you can find some data plates for your nice RAS...and the correct
control knobs
