Dave and all..
That pic you posted of the Navy gray RAS I own now after buying it at a CHRS sale here. They got it at a defunct Mare Island Museum and in the process of moving it dropped it in such a way to wreck the PW dial and bend the tuning shaft. Replaced both dial and gear box. As you can see it's missing the ps data tag..still.
It's a darker gray/blue I think than yours. Though I think yours has had a rattle can repaint as if you look on the pic, I think of the spkr panel, you can see the back a forth spray pattern of a spray can paint job...I've suffered  the same here
I've ve been working on  a repaint of a gray TCS 5 rcvr cabinet to match the front panel which is like the gray on my RAS. No luck at all here in trying to match that gray.  Went through 5 different shades of spray cans of gray before I found something barely close to match it to the front panel.
Hope you can find some data plates for your nice RAS...and the correct control knobs

Thanks for the reply, Ray.
Nick has, in his RAS database, photos of a set with the
same colour repaint as this one, which is why I think
it's possible for it to be a depot refurb:

Also- the original RAS speaker has a round-magnet,
while those that appear to have been refurbed
have the square-box magnet.

In any event- I'll be hunting original tags.
The paper ones are pretty, but I like the "real" ones.
