Tnx, Howie. I didn't recognize the 166.pdf as hyperlink text. 
Interesting receiver. My first take on seeing the manual was, aha, an SP-600 relabeled. Which it is not, as i saw from the
schematic. Glad a few survive, at least.
I didn't bring the manual back with me, but there is some kind of very faded letter in the front, about either buying it from
Hudson's Bay Company or selling it to them. Later, i'll try to scan the letter.
