I often wonder what happens to some of the stuff that i feel is overpriced or maybe pass over because i am just overwhelmed and feel i've reached my day's limit. I think, well, next time maybe, but i never see it again. Like a hacked No.19 set that i just wanted for a few parts, or maybe the Marconi Q Meter which was surely too big - heavy for 99.9% of swap attendees. I suppose some of that stuff goes to the dumpster ( or better, e-waste pallet ), which does benefit the value of the surviving examples.
The last Rickreal Oregon hamfair had at least 2 large estates. Judging by the accumulation, i would guess one of them, the former owner was not cognizant of life's realities when the story ended. There were lots of bargains to be had in the jumble, too many bargains in fact, but i did have to wonder about the big picture, and such things.
