[Milsurplus] Dayton Xenia HF results

As someone who has gone since 1972, I found this years Hamvention to be way smaller in both vendors and buyers. The crowd was WAAAAYY off. Not much cool stuff for me, YMMV. Prices were generally "Dayton high". I would be interested to have others comment. I feel that all of the issues: Covid, Inflation, High gas prices, aging ham population, etc., all contributed to what I consider one of the bigger flops. I hope it can recover next year. I did not see a lot of the tried and true vendors of past years. I wonder if they have all given up on hamfests and gone to eBay only. That would be a shame. I was there Thursday, Friday and 1/2 Saturday, finally had enough. People really weren't even looking much, just walking by. Some of the old guys were having a bad time walking that far around the fleamarket. Glad I was only 2-3/4 hour from home. In the past it was an 8 hour drive. I would have been steamed!
