It's been a few years since the last time Ray, but the USPS Priority
International price to send a R-388 to London was something like $290 as I
recall, and cheapest by far. FedWrex as crazy high, UPS as well. DHL used
to be a good option but they were in bankruptcy reorg or such at the time I
think.
USPS did a great job and got the rig there on time without damage. Probably
not a bad price in today's world of nosebleed fuel prices and other
politically-driven drivel.
BTW, if anyone has heard from Peter Worrall/G4GJL recently, I'd sure
appreciate his current email or other contact info. Still waiting on a B40
speaker, some Plessey connectors and a few other bits from him to complete
our B40D/R-388 swap that started over a decade ago. All attempts in recent
years have gone unanswered. Hope he's still with us!
