[Milsurplus] Hamfests, et al

In a similar vein, I used to enjoy seeing photos of other Hams' shacks 
back in the 60s when I got started in this hobby.  The larger the boxes 
on the kitchen table or desk top or custom shelving, the more impressed 
I became.  But today's shack more resembles a police dispatch center 
with all the monitors and keyboards throughout the pix.  Not a boat 
anchor to be found among the lot.  Even the shacks of the early 80s had 
more boxes than monitors.

Where is the Heathkit, Collins and Drake equipment?  Now THAT was 
industrial design art.
