If my recent repairs to a set of ARA receivers and recall of the wiring
diagrams is correct, the R13B is a growth of the ARA-ARC5-post war Aircraft
Radio Nav and Comm radios which were essentially growth ARC 5. Pretty sure
the capacitor you need is actually just .05UF rated at 600 VDC. Check
your manuals and specs.

No. I hardly think you need electrolytic caps here. First of all, even
today, the maximum voltage one can expect from a single electrolytic cap is
500 VDC and almost all of those I am aware of are rated at 450 VDC..
In addition there is absolutely no need whatever for a 0.05 MFD capacitor to
be an electrolytic. Ceramic or metalized film capacitors are what is
available these days.
I would think that if you were to post a photograph of the capacitor you
have, some of us could tell you which kind it was.
