[Milsurplus] Regen receiver in 2-way traffic ?

I have used regen receivers, of course, but not used one in radio traffic where the receiver is shut down
during transmit. I want to ask, when the oscillating detector is turned back on, given its B+ again, does
it reliably come up on the same frequency, enough so that retuning is not necessary?

Altho I am seriously downsizing, there are some equipments that I think are really pretty neat and will
keep. I have the ARRL's 'Novice Pair' built from ARRL booklet plans. Unfortunately I did not get the
matching PS with it. The ARRL book project has you build a dual purpose PS with a toggle switch for
transmit receive, to cut down the receive B+. I think that's one too many switches and probably I will
be looking at 2 separate B+ sources from the supply. I don't know how the t/r switching will be arranged
yet. I think you want to turn off the detector B+, as otherwise the detector gets blasted, even disconnected
from antenna. Then I need an antenna switch and a switch to enable / disable transmitter B+ so the key
can't accidently power the transmitter. Just thinking ahead. I was just now looking at chassis boxes on Ebay
for a black metal chassis box. Unlike the ARRL's built examples, the set I have is in black wrinkle finish,
otherwise identical.
