I found in my stuff a dynamotor for the DY-88 of GRC-9. I wanted to check it out somewhat
before selling, just to verify not DOA. This is a 6, 12, or 24 volt dynamotor. I measured 3 wires
to fat ground wire as 8, 30, and 80 ohms. The HV winding was 580 ohm to dynamotor frame.
Do these sound about right? I hooked a 12V batt to the 24 winding and it did spin. I only let
it spin up a few seconds as I'm sure it needs relube. The thing looks RFE, not new spare, but i
can't imagine why someone would remove a dynamotor from a working unit.
tnx, Hue Miller
