Subject: [ARC5] Another matcher to 50 ohm antenna

I found a gizmo today in the electronics things I inherited from a friend:

A Swan 'MMBX'. This is a small box about 5 x 3 x 3 inches overall, with

goesinta and goesouta SO-239, and a 6-position switch marked 50 to

3 ohms. These were intended no doubt for mobile antenna use, but it

would work well, I think, maybe, with classic military transmitters

intended for short antennas. Just crank the antenna loading inductor

all the way down. I don't know how common this Swan item is, but it

might be worth watching for, when hamfests resume.
