[Milsurplus] Lighthouse radio beacons of the past ?

I toured the Lightship Relief docked here in Oaklands Jack London square
about 8 yrs ago. It has the same radio and beacon gear as the Overfalls.
The radio area was roped off and asked the tour guide if I could step in
to get some pics of the gear on my camera.
Was told under no circumstance was anyone allowed to step in there but ship
staff...he was being a jerk and wouldnt take the pics for me if I gave him
the camera to do so.
Its docked by FDR's presidential Yacht Potomac. There is a radio room on
board with gear that really doesn't belong there and well...that's a whole
other story.
