The 3D printing: I bought a top of the line Sony receiver, without trying it out. When I did finally try it, I found the tuning jammed at
a certain point, and I learned that this model had a rep for failing tuning gears. For many months I thought it was 'game over', but
then I learned that I could buy 3D printed replacements for a paltry sum. How about that.

I have a German 'morale receiver' with a tuning cap mounted on what was a pot metal bracket. Now I'm thinking with the dimensions
this part could be printed out, which would make this receiver restorable.

Practical Wireless magazine ( U.K. ) recently had an article where someone had 3D printed a 'bug key' and reading the introductory
material on how it's programmed, really whetted my interest in that.
