I know of many people who would love to have an RAL (I have several) but the shipping cost
for an 80 lb radio and a 65 lb power supply stops them. -(
As I have said more than once, after having used an RAL-7 as my main, and only, station
receiver for around 12 years, I consider the RAL to be the finest HF TRF receiver ever built.
I sold all my RAL/RAK power supplies some years ago to some fellow on the east coast. I
have much, much smaller home-built supplies to run them on.
