For now, and until I see better proof, I am saying I do not believe this.
The Navy catalog listing is clearly problematic. It says 10 tubes, doesn't it?
The schematic is like a beginner ham drew it out. Look at the tube symbol. I do not think that it's the product of a sophisticated
established electronic manufacturer.
The zero bias on the audio tube may be to get more output. With battery supply, you want to conserve
B+ current. Still, odd.
