I've had a 1944 Tech Order on the aafradio website since 2014 that
addresses the interchangeability of these coils (among other parts of
the set) - https://aafradio.org/docs/SCR-183-283_interchangeability.pdf
That chart isn't as readable as one I developed from it (a chart that
addresses _only_ the tuning coils), at
https://aafradio.org/docs/Tuning_Coil_Sets_for_SCR-183&SCR-283.pdf
KK5F may have made some later additions to the list - my memory is a
little fuzzy on the subject with the passage of time. Mike, if so
please chime in, and I'll correct the copy with attribution.

If you have only the C-xyz coil numbers, I can tell you which SCR-Ax-183 or -283 sets a particular coil number may be used. In practice, transmitter coil sets were serialized to their specific transmitter.
