BTW. the TCM-2 is one of my very most favorite military transmitters: it has more knobs, 
dials, and meters per square inch of panel space than almost any other transmitter I have 
ever seen.

And 803s are a very robust tube. I think they are very under-rated.

813s are supposedly rated at 125 watts PD, but in point of fact, they will easily handle 250 
watts PD.

Despite this, I DO NOT believe in "hammering" tubes. 125 watts is jiust fine with me!!!
